sim card connector production process

The production process of sim card connector mainly includes 7 major processes.

1. It is the stamping of the hardware on the sim card connector, including the stamping of the stainless steel cover and the stamping of the phosphor bronze of the contact terminals. Stainless steel cover can be made of stainless steel 201 or stainless steel 304. Contact terminals are generally made of long-life wear-resistant phosphor bronze.

2. Electroplating the stamped hardware on the sim card connector. Prevent the hardware from oxidizing and rusting, and also make the surface of the hardware beautiful and shiny. Contact terminals are generally plated with a layer of nickel, then tin, and then gold on the tin. Tin is good for soldering, while wear-resistant gold can have better continuity. The thickness of the gold also determines how long the product can pass the salt spray test.

3. Injection molding the bracket of the sim card connector through a specific mold. Due to the unstable temperature and pressure in the mold in the early stage of mold heating and pressure increase, it is necessary to discard the products injected by the first 50 molds.

4. Assemble the stainless steel cover to the plastic bracket, as well as the assembly of other parts.

5. Test the sim card connector, including the continuity of the terminal and the switch, and whether the structure is normal.

6. Extract some tested sim card connectors for finished product inspection. Such as card life test, salt spray test, high temperature test and so on.

7. Pack the tested products into storage.
